Nigerian mental health nurse involved in sex slavery ring blacklisted by UK Nursing and Midwifery Council
A Nigerian mental health nurse who was convicted and sentenced for smuggling a young Nigerian woman into Britain to work as a sex slave under the threat of a black magic curse has been blacklisted by the British nursing authorities.
Florence Obadiaru, 50, was part of a gang of traffickers that raped a 23-year-old and subjected her to a ‘ju-ju’ death ritual during which she was told if she did not pay £40,000 she would die
Obadiaru and the other gang members then forced the woman to fly into Heathrow Airport in September 2011. The woman was told she would get a job in the UK so she could repay the debt, but instead she was kept at Obadiaru’s house and sexually assaulted.
The mental health nurse planned to transfer the woman to Italy to work as a sex slave, but the plot was thwarted by Italian officials, who noted her forged ID.
At the disciplinary hearing, Robert Barnwell, Chairman of the Nursery and Midwifery Council said:
Obadiaru was jailed for two years in July 2014 after being convicted of trafficking the woman into the UK for sexual exploitation and arranging for her transfer to Italy.
Obadiaru, of Brockley, southeast London, had worked as a carer for ten years and had just finished her degree in nursing at Bedford University in Luton.
Her fellow gang members, Olusoji Oluwafemi and Johnson Olayinka, were jailed for six-and-a-half years and four-and-a-half years respectively in July 2014

"You have been convicted of conspiracy to commit a deplorable and horrific crime in which a young woman was trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation, and your conviction goes to the very core of the principles involved in nursing care. The public interest element in this case is high, and it is important to mark this case and send a clear message that a conviction of such a crime is unacceptable"

Re: Olajumoke...Clothier Uche Nnaji writes letter to Nigerian Banks
The man behind Ouch Clothing, Uche Nnaji writes below..
Iam still excited and happy that TyBello allowed God use her to turn around the captivity(circumstance ) of Olajumoke, But I am shocked at the sudden awareness by corporate bodies to jump on the band wagon to bless and celebrate her with all sorts of "Gifts" from Apartments to Endorsements...
As if this act has or will take away all the other MILLIONS of "OLAjumoke's on our streets searching and waiting for their own TYBello. The shocker for me is seeing a Nigerian bank rushing to make Olajumoke a brand ambassador when they would not move an inche to SAVE a dying Nigerian MSME. This action has further shown that most Nigerian Banks seldom grasp their role in growing the economy, Olajumoke is 1 individual, but a business or an idea the Nigerian bank supports /Celebrate can become a new Facebook or Dangote which would create jobs and feed families . but clearly most of these bank won't find a student who invented something and take a gamble of supporting the lad, not to talk of taking risk with established growing businesses all because there is no sensation to it. Dear Nigerian banks when you support Small growing businesses they will create more jobs and get more OLAJUMOKE,s off the streets.

Adekunle Ayeni broke my marriage - Toni Payne
– Toni Payne has named Adekunle Ayeni as the man who broke her marriage to 9ice
– She reveals that Ayeni used the news of her marriage breakup to start his newspaper business
– The celebrity publicist also denies a coming back to 9ice
9ice and his ex-wife Toni Payne
It has been six years since the marriage between popular Nigerian singer 9ice and his estranged wife and mother of his first son Toni Payne packed up. But Payne has since forgiven 9ice for the heartache he might have caused her. Payne spoke on her broken marriage as she had never done in a phone-in interview with Gloria Maduka and Terrel of Inspiration FM, Lagos.
The interview gave more insights into who was responsible for the breakup of her home. Toni was alleged to have called in on the Lunch Time show, from California and alleged that the wedding separation press release sent out by 9ice’s publicist at the time, Ayeni Adekunle started the rumour. Ayeni, a former THISDAY and Punch journalist, is the founder of Nigerian Entertainment Today. He also runs popular PR agency, BlackHouse Media which worked for many A-list entertainers and as at that time was the publicist to 9ice thus his releasing a press statement on 9ice/ Payne marriage breakup. Reacting to how she felt when the rumours of her alleged affair with Ruggedman broke out courtesy of 9ice’s controversial song Once Beaten Twice Shy, Payne said: “It started out really annoying, then it went from annoying to frustrating because if you listen to the song carefully you can tell that it’s not me he described in the song (smiles). It felt like a horrible dream and it kept growing and people were actually taking it seriously. When it all started I felt the rumour could have been killed faster with the social media because that’s how it was spreading. At that point, I approached 9ice’s publicist then, Ayeni.
I don’t want to call anybody my enemy, but I consider him an enemy because I see him as someone who started something and didn’t finish it. Back then when they put out their little press release talking about me and 9ice splitting up, I warned them not to put it out. I told them that if there’s anything happening internally, we should resolve it internally, that putting it out there gives the public the right to interfere. But Ayeni convinced 9ice that he had to put it out, all because he wanted to sell THENETNG. That was when he started the website. But they went ahead and put out the release behind my back.
I was sitting down at this restaurant with my friend when we started getting messages about me doing this and that. I called Ayeni and was like, you guys started this rumours, please fix it, and he was like madam, we’ll do it and he never did. I expected him to use the same enthusiasm they used in releasing the first news to also use in killing it, but they never did, instead he continued to use it to promote THENETNG. But today, where’s the paper? They ended packing up and I’ve said it, that every single person that felt they were profiting from the rumours back then, will be caught by God, one by one, and that’s what has happened and is happening.”
Asked if she can truly forgive 9ice, Payne says: “I am a very vocal person, when I took to my website to write that open letter I did it really and truly because I’m done with that saga and another reason was to encourage people in similar situations. It’s the best thing to do.” But she said there is no getting back to 9ice. “No I’m not. I’m definitely not going back to him,” she said. 9ice has since tendered an unreserved apology to his ex-wife, using a legally-worded open letter that raised many eyebrows.

Nurse lures Nigerian woman to UK, makes her sex slave
A mental health nurse lured a 23-year-old Nigerian woman to Great Britain – She made her sex slave under threat of black magic curse and death – Florence Obadiaru, who was part of a gang of traffickers was jailed for two years Florence Obadiaru, 50, and her two fellow gang members, Olusoji Oluwafemi and Johnson Olayinka, have lured an unnamed Nigerian woman to the Great Britain promising her job to repay the debt but when she arrived forced her into prostitution instead.
Tribunal: Mental health nurse Florence Obadiaru, 50, jailed for two years
Before leaving Nigeria the victim was sexually assaulted, subjected to a ‘ju-ju’ death ritual and told she would die if did not pay £40,000 (about N11.400.000) to the gang-members.
The 23-year-old entered the country using a bogus passport in September 2011, whereupon she was kept at Obadiaru’s house pending her transfer to Italy to work as a sex slave. Luckily, Italian officials noted the woman’s false ID and sent her back to the UK. Shortly afterwards Obadiaru, who had worked as a carer for ten year, and her accomplices were arrested and brought to justice. Jailing the trio, Judge Rebecca Poulet QC had said: “This was a sophisticated and carefully planned operation in Nigeria which must have cost a considerable amount of money to the traffickers. The expected returns were also considerable. She was subjected to a juju ritual with the threat of death.
She would have been forced into controlled prostitution as she had no possible way in which she could conceivably support herself in Italy. While I doubt this was the first trafficking you were involved in I do sentence you on the basis that this involved just the one victim.” Obadiaru, from Brockley, south-east London, was jailed for two years, while Olusoji Oluwafemi and Johnson Olayinka were jailed for six-and-a-half years and four-and-a-half years respectively in July 2014. The woman is just one of many victims of an organised crime group based in Africa which traffics young women through England to work as prostitutes in mainland Europe.
Moment drug dealer was beaten 'to death' with electrical cables after being caught by pro-Russian rebels
This is the moment Russian militants carried out an ISIS-style execution after torturing and beating a drug dealer who is now believed to be dead. The 'punishment' happened in the town of Communar, Donetsk Oblast, in southern Ukraine, which is currently occupied by pro-Russian rebels. The shocking video of the man being tortured has gone viral on the internet.
It shows the man begging for his life and tied with red tape to a wooden post as he is repeatedly whipped with electrical cables. His back is heavily bruised and bloody, which suggests he had whipped for a very long time before the video was taken. The whipping was carried out by a militant identified as 'Olkhon' who came to Communar from the central Russian city of Novosibirsk to support Ukrainian pro-Russian rebels.
A voice in the background of the video says: 'The f****** film shooting has started. This is the punishment of a drug dealer.'
The man who is begging for his life is heard saying: 'Stop please! I'll say what you need. I will call another drug dealer and he will arrive with drugs.'
He is then asked if he is admitting he is a drug user, and he cries out 'no'.
But then they demand to know why he has a drug dealer's phone number and the beating continues.
The person who shot the video then speaks, saying: 'We don't need courts, sentences, this is what we need.'
The man being tortured then shouts: 'I swear I told everything. God I can't stand it anymore, I want to live. Please, please!'
Olkhon then speaks, saying: 'Drug dealers and junkies please come here to us, we have a way to deal with people like you. Come to us and we will cure all of you.
'But this fellow will be slaughtered as a dog. He will live until he has stopped talking about his fellow drug dealers and has given us information, and then he will be dead.
'See how he has p****d and s*** himself. He thinks we will have some mercy on him, but we will kill him.
'Don't scream so much you will scare all the people around. I even broke my lash on your useless back.'
The tortured man is reportedly missing and is now believed to be dead.
The video was posted online by an official community of pro-Russian rebels on the Russian social network VKontakte.
