Army arrests tailors who make clothes for Boko Haram members

The troops of 3 Battalion, 22 Brigade have arrested Bukar Gujja and Bukar Kahalifa, two tailors who makes clothes for Boko Haram terrorists. The troops arrested them alongside 4 other members of the terrorist group during an operation in Kala Balge yesterday April 28th.

The gallant troops tracked and arrested the 6 terrorists kingpins who sneaked into Kala Balge as a result of the onslaught of our heroic troops on the terrorists in Sambisa.

Taraba state governor holds thanksgiving service in Ekiti state to thank God for fulfilling Fayose's prophesy about him

Taraba state governor, Darius Ishaku, held his election thanksgiving service in Ekiti state today. According to media aide of Governor Ayo Fayose, Lere Olayinka, when Governor Ishaku and Fayose were in Israel sometime last year, Fayose told Ishaku not to worry, that the Supreme Court will validate his election whenever his case at the apex court came up.

When the case came up in February 2016 and the apex court upheld his election, Darius told Fayose that he will be fulfilling his promise by coming to Ekiti state to have his thanksgiving service. Benin Monarch announce the passing of the Oba of Benin

The Great Oba of Benin, Omo n'Oba n'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Erediauwa I, has died. The monarch's death was announced by the Prime Minister and Iyase of Benin Kingdom, Chief Sam Igbe, in company of other traditional Chiefs today April 29th.

Mide Martins reconciles with husband, says she will love him forever

Popular Yoruba movie actress and daughter of late Nollywood actress, Funmi Martins, Mide, who was recently hospitalized after her alleged break up with her husband of 13 years, says the storm in her marriage is over as she has now reconciled with her husband.

The news of the breakup was regarded as rumour until the actress came public last weekend.
On her Instagram account @mydemartins, the actress revealed the details of their troubled marriage, stating that her husband, a fellow actor, Afeez Owo Abiodun, had packed out of their matrimonial home three months before their marriage breakup became known..
She had given details about how the father of her children haunted her and later abandoned her with the kids.

The actress wrote, “Now, my husband why are trying to destroy me? Why do you want to kill me? What will be your achievement? Why do you wish destroy my career?
“This is the career that gives me money to feed the children that came out from your flesh and blood.
“Why do I deserve this kind of hatred from you? Is this what I get for having stayed by your side and supported you for good 13 years?”
But when all thought it was over between the two, the actress again took to her Instagram handle to disclose that her husband was back home.

She wrote, “The Storm Is Over!!!…. Thank You Lord For This Great Reunion!!… And I Say A Very Big Thanks To All Our Fans and Well Wishers… Thank You For Your Prayers and Concerns.. We Sincerely Appreciate You All… @officialafeezowo ….

Here is why more than 48% of Nigerian Women Develop Fibroid... (New research )

Fibroid, also known as myoma, is a mass of compacted muscle and fibrous tissue that grows on the wall (or sometimes on the outside) of the uterus. It can be as small as a pea or as large as a grapefruit. Fibroids occur in 50 to 80 percent of women. Fibroids usually develop prior to pregnancy, though many women don't know they have one until they have an ultrasound or the fibroid is discovered during a pelvic exam.

For the 10 to 30 percent of pregnant women with fibroids who do end up having complications, the most common is abdominal pain, which occasionally may be accompanied by light vaginal bleeding.

Your risk of miscarriage and premature delivery does increase slightly if you have fibroids. They occasionally cause the baby to be in an abnormal position for delivery. The majority of fibroids do not change their size during pregnancy, but one-third may grow in the first trimester. Although the data are conflicting and most women with fibroids have uneventful pregnancies.

Age: Fibroids generally first occur in women in their 30s. Fibroids often shrink and cause no symptoms in women who have gone through menopause.
Hormone levels: Fibroid growth seems to depend on estrogen or progesterone or perhaps both. Some studies show that fibroids are more likely to get smaller when estrogen levels go down (as they do after menopause).
Body weight: Some studies suggest that obesity might play a role in fibroid development. This is particularly important for fat women, who are 1.4 times more likely prone to fibroid
Childbirth: Studies have found that women who have delivered a baby are less likely to have fibroids. The risk probably goes down even more for women who have had two or more babies.
Lifestyle: Some studies have indicated that exercise and a healthy diet may lower the risk of fibroids, while studies have consistently shown that consumption of alcohol raises the risk.

Robert Pattinson and fiancee FKA Twigs end engagement

According to reports, actor Robert Pattinson has ended his relationship with singer FKA Twig. Below is what In Touch is reporting:

Don't cue the wedding bells! In Touch has exclusively learned that Robert Pattinson has canceled his wedding to singer FKA twigs! The two were supposed to tie the knot this summer but "Rob called it off," an insider revealed to the mag. This news comes as no surprise since things seemingly haven't been picture perfect between the two.

"It's been a long time coming. They were fighting all the time," the source said. According to the source, "Rob felt trapped" and the wedding plans were a "major drag" for the Twilight star.

Furthermore, FKA twigs wasn't the girl Robert thought she was — and her true colors eventually came to light during their wedding planning. "[She] isn't the girl for him. She's very jealous and he was sick of having to explain himself," the insider added.

Presidency moves against emergency billionaires ..says holders of public office must account for their wealth

Serving and former public office holders will henceforth be made to account for their wealth, Vice President Yemi Osibajo (SAN), has said. He stated this at a town hall meeting convened by the United Action for Change, UAC in Lagos today Saturday April 23rd.

Osinbajo who fielded questions from various labour and professional organisations as well as individuals at the meeting held at the Ikeja Airport Hotel, said "the era of people becoming emergency billionaires is gone" and would no longer be tolerated by the Buhari-led administration.

“Anybody who cant explain his wealth must be brought to account. Everyone who has served in public office must account for what they own. This is the change we want Nigerians to support”, he declared, adding that the dream of the Buhari government is to have a “country where integrity is our national culture.”

The VP assured that the policies of the government are not tainted by any hidden agenda, stressing that at the end of their tenure, Buhari and himself will be ready to present their bank account details and assets owned to convince Nigerians they never abused their positions to get richer.

While pleading that Nigerians should be more patient with the administration, Osinbajo said the change mantra of the government was not and will never be a mere slogan but a necessity they are irrevocably committed to.

“Nigerians should never lose hope in the face of present difficulties. We have the best opportunity to change this nation now because we have a leader who is honest in all his dealings. There is a determination by this government to change the nation’s direction”, he assured.

Answering questions on the social security scheme promised some categories of Nigerians, the VP said the government remains committed to a health insurance scheme that will provide coverage for all Nigerians. He assured that the N5,000 monthly stipend promised poor Nigerians will soon take off, adding that a list of one million beneficiaries for a start is already being complied across the country.

He pleaded for the understanding of Nigerians on the biting fuel scarcity across the country, promising that a policy that will provide final solution will be unveiled in a matter of weeks. UAC Covener and National Legal Adviser of the ruling APC, Dr Muiz Banire, SAN in his opening remarks called for continuous support for the change Nigerians voted for at the 2015 general elections.

He explained that the body was “conceived as a vehicle to engage and sensitize Nigerians on the philosophical and moral significance of change working through its major platform: Change Nigeria.” 

VP Osinbajo says FG to begin payment of N5k to the poor once the budget is signed

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says the Federal government will begin payment of the N5000 to the poor in Nigeria once the 2016 budget is signed by President Buhari. Osinbajo also disclosed that the government is also planning to train a minimum of 100, 000 young Nigerians in technology.

Osinbajo disclosed this while speaking at the United Action for Change Town Hall Meeting at Ikeja Airport Hotel Lagos today April 23rd. What he said at the townhall meeting were tweeted by his Senior Special Assistant-Media&Publicity, Laolu Akande.

The Nigerian Army on Friday April 22nd paraded Prince Onyemauche pictured above, accused of impersonation as a Colonel in the Army.

According to Army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman who paraded Onyemauche before journalists at the army headquarters in Abuja, said he was arrested alongside one sergeant Jacob Phillip by troops of 176 Special Forces Gurads Battalion along Wazobia Motor Park, Gwagwalada Abuja on Feb 17th.

Sani said Onyemauche was driving Toyota Tacoma Pick-up van when he was arrested after earlier escaping check in Abaji where he claimed to be a Colonel in the Nigerian army.

Sani said after the suspects were arrested, items recovered from their vehicle includes an Ak 47 Rifle, with registration number 3290 and four magazines, out of which, two were empty while the other two were loaded with 42 rounds of 7.62 ammunition.

“A luger pistol, 21 x 9mm Parabellium ammunition and the sum of one million, eleven thousand three hundred naira (N1, 011,300.00) was found.” The fake colonel will be handed over to the police for further investigations.
