The accused committed the crime in September, 2014 at Olowu Street, Ikeja.
It was gathered that the accused on borrowing the money from Obi which was meant for a project, promised to refund the said amount, using the proceeds from the sales of his Toyota Camry 2007 model.
Adeshina was subsequently nabbed by security operatives who dragged him to Court on a four count charge of stealing, obtaining under false pretenses and forgery.
According to the Police prosecutor, Inspector Joe Egbo, the offences contravened sections 409, 312, 285 and 363 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011.
The accused however pleaded not guilty to the charges. The counsel to the defendant however applied for bail in liberal terms.
The Magistrate, R.O. Davies, granted the accused bail with the sum of N500, 000 and one surety in like sum.
