A suspected armed robber has been arrested in Ugbokolo area of Okpokwu, Benue
State.
The suspect, whose identity was given as Timothy Odoh allegedly attacked one
Mrs. Apeh, Tuesday afternoon, around Okpafie area of the community.
Speaking to the reporters, the victim’s son, Apeh Peterhot said the robber
accosted his mum along the road and pulled off a Jack-knife and asked the woman
to surrender the motorcycle key.
Apeh said, “Luckily, my mum was brave enough to drag the knife with him
before other people came to her rescue.”
The suspect was arrested and beaten mercilessly before he was taken to
Ugbokolo Divisional Police Station.
Earlier, some unidentified gunmen killed Chief Awuhe Alev, the traditional
ruler of Mabayongo district, in Katsina Ala local government council of the
state.
